Philip Maung, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Hissho Sushi, was recently recognized by the White House for his visionary leadership in tough economic times and had the honor attending the President’s address to a joint session Congress as a guest of First Lady, Michelle Obama, on September 8th, 2011.
“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized for our accomplishments.” Maung said “The fact that we have been able to succeed and grow in a difficult economic environment is a testament to our corporate culture and the dedication of our employees and chefs. In addition, we would not exist today were it not for our retail markets and their loyal partnership and, of course, the many thousands of people who enjoy eating Hissho Sushi every day.”
